CINEMATOGRAPHY / TRAVEL / HUMANITARIAN
The concept was simple. As a filmmaker, I wanted to document every aspect of Tunisian life possible. The goal was to travel from north to south and meet as many facets of civilization as possible including city dwellers, farmers, artists, engineers, and craftsmen. Tunisia is a country that is torn between fully adapting its French colonial culture and maintaining its pre-colonization Arab roots. The beauty of Tunisia is that, despite the varying cultures and levels of religiosity, the people of Tunisia love their land. And rightfully so. ‘Fi Tunis’ is meant to shed light on the beauty of the Tunisian people.
THE FINAL PRODUCT
‘Fi Tunis’ was a national hit amongst the Tunisian people with over 80,000 views from all around the world. The short film was shared by some of the top Tunisian media outlets including Tunise.co, DROMABUZZ, and WEPOST Magazine.
